She came in like a norwester, turning life upside down
What a relief to this scorched heart, bringing in hope,
A vision of the possible and the courage to endure

She stayed back like the drizzling rain, showering soul to the roots
always in the mind, always touching, wet and never able to forget
source of boundless spring, and transformed everything to green

Now as she gets ready to go, the winter is about to set in
The dreaded possibility of the frozen, dry and barren
without her, the color drained out of the world

Coudn’t take it any more,
I came close and held her hand…
